  • Salt Research spaces are open from Tuesday to Saturday between 11.00 and 19.00.

  • Our archive collections on “Art,” “Architecture and Design,” “City, Society, and Economy” are available online.

  • Registration is required to use Salt Research Ferit F. Şahenk Hall, located on floor -1 at Salt Galata.

  • Salt Research functions in line with Library 2.0 standards to respond to user demands and expectations. In this context, the aim is to develop content with user contributions, and to render information, both in digital and physical formats, accessible.

  • Salt Research is open to all. Registration is required to use Salt Research Ferit F. Şahenk Hall, located on floor -1 at Salt Galata. All services are free.

  • A selection of periodicals are displayed at Salt Research. For the rest of the periodicals, please ask a staff member for assistance.

  • Rare publications and the books in the Hüseyin Bahri Alptekin Library are available for research upon request at Salt Research. Please ask a staff member for assistance.

  • Only pencils are allowed in the designated zone at Salt Research for rare publications and archival materials.

  • Low-resolution images of digital documents can be accessed by users from saltonline.org. Rights Statement on the use of high-resolution images for publication and similar purposes can be found here.

  • Users have the right to request photocopies of resources in Salt Research collections. This right can be exercised in accordance with “The Principles of Copyright.” In each case, only one copy for research and specific study purposes is permitted. Photocopies from original sources must not exceed one article per issue or one chapter (or 10%) of a book.

  • DVDs/CDs cannot be reproduced without permission of copyright owners.

  • All materials taken from shelves must be returned to the drop-off points.
