Ewkaf used to administer the lands, leasing them and receiving 1/4 of the rent; the 3/4 were delivered to owners ("galedarides"); therefore, according to the Ch. 107 of the 1899 law, directorate has the right to receive the 1/4 of the value of all sold lands. | |
