Title
The mufti informs Rethymno public prosecutor that Ahmet Osmantsaousakis had been put into prison because of what he did to Fatoume of Ahmet Hamzadakis and then agreed to marry her only in order to escape from the prison.
Description
After marriage he continued living with his wife at his family's home, which is against the Islamic law, and did not provide her even with food; the mufti called them at the Holy Court but the concerned man abandoned his wife there and left.
Note
The mufti has no power to force him to respect the Islamic law and therefore asks the prosecutor to do so.
