This collection includes photographs, sketches, drawings, agreements and reports by Ali Saim Ülgen (1913-1963) as well as correspondence relating to the conditions of cultural heritage sites and restoration practices in pre-1960 Turkey. In addition to identifying the state of buildings at the time, this collection sheds light on architectural historiography and restoration practices of the period.
