1964 yılında Bayındırlık Bakanlığı tarafından açılan Antalya Müzesi yarışmasındaki katılımcılardan biri olan Hayati Tabanlıoğlu'nun projesidir. Yarışma sonucunda, Doğan Tekeli, Sami Sisa ve Metin Hepgüler'in projesi birincilik ödülü aldı ve 1968-1971 yılları arasında uygulandı. - In 1964, Hayati Tabanlıoğlu was one of the participants in the Antalya Museum competition organized by the Ministry of Public Works. As a result of the competition, Doğan Tekeli, Sami Sisa and Metin Hepgüler's project won the first prize and implemented between 1968 and 1971.
