The Borsa Han building in Karaköy was commissioned by the Municipality of the 6th District (today’s Beyoglu Municipality, initially named in reference to the 6th arrondissement in Paris) to Jean Barborini (1820-1891). This collection includes the sketches and plan of the building, the deed, the list of tenants, as well as correspondence between the tenants and various state offices about the demolishment of the building.
