İsmail Saray, 1967’de Gazi Eğitim Enstitüsü’nden mezun olduktan sonra, resim-iş öğretmeni olarak Dicle İlk Öğretmen Okulu’na atandı. Diyarbakır’da öğretmenlik yaptığı 1968’de, yurtdışında eğitim sınavını kazandığını ve İngiltere’ye öğrenime gidebileceğini bildiren mektubu aldı. - İsmail Saray was appointed to teach at Dicle Teacher’s College in Diyarbakır after graduating from Gazi Education Institute in 1967. During his first year there in 1968 he received a letter notifying him that he had passed the exam to study abroad and would be sent to England.
