Describes economic conditions, agriculture, and "moral" conditions in Merzifon. Also describes the vareity of individuals who sought various kinds of help from the misson. Also describes a visit to the Girls' School of an inspector of foreign and private schools. Also describes the missionaries' and the locals' desire to open a Boys' School.
Note
Describes how many local women are making raki in their homes because of the economic difficulties, as well as missonary efforts to discourage this.
