Includes correspondence between Charles W. Fowle of the Near East Relief in New York (N.Y.); W.H. Day, F.L. Hinkle, L.H. Myer, and George D. White of the Transportation and Supply Department of the Near East Relief in Constantinople; and William W. Peet and Luther R. Fowle of Bible House. Topics include the shipping of missionary goods and medical supplies, groceries and wholesale food with prices, furniture and wood, clothing donated from the United States, and a church organ. Also includes the mention of the purchase of a 2-ton Ford truck, a chauffeur named Djemal, a property transfer from the German Christian Society, and the disposal of personal property of NER or mission workers who have left Turkey. Some letters differentiate the charges for the NER from those for Bible House. Includes a document titled, Near East Relief Transportation (2 p.), that outlines the acquisition and need for 11 cars used by the Near East Relief along with a Motor Transport Report (2 p.) that documents their use.
