Title
Anadolu'da, zamandan ve depremler tarafından çok denenmiş bir yer - Across Anatolia, well-tried by time and earthquakes.
Description
Timur'un, yaşayan mahkumlarını attığı Van Gölü (1300 metre deniz seviyesinden daha yukarı) ve istihkamların kalıntıları - A neighborhood of Sivas with houses made from rammed earth, and its Gok Medresse with two turquoise blue minarets rising above a portal of reddish-brown stone. The Greco-Roman amphitheatre of Kayseri, where Alexander may have stayed as a solitary shepherd. Seljuk bridge on the Tigre, in Diyarbakır. Diyarbakır, the city of black lava. A small town on the central plateau of central Anatolia, between Sivas and Diyarbakır. An astonishing mountainous passage on the border of Turkey and İran. The lake of Van (at 1300 meters above sea level) and the vestiges of its ramparts, from where Tamerlan, so they say, threw his living prisoners.
