An-asl Kadırgalı'dır. 1288 senesinde Mekteb-i Tıbbiye-i Askeriye'den yüzbaşılık rütbesiyle neşet edip mirlivalığa kadar rütbeleri terfi olmuştur. Ve bidayeten ameliyat-ı cerrahiye tahsiliyle hükümet-i seniyye tarafından Paris'e iğram kılınmış.
