Mühendishane-i Berr-i Hümayun Hocalarından Hayracıbaşı Recep Bey zade Ali Bey'in mahdûmu olup pederinin Rusya muharebesinde mecrumen avdet ederek vefât eylemesinden 1225 tarihinde yüz kuruş maaşla hendese hane-i mezkûrun sınıf rabite ve muahhiran yüz on kuruş maaşla sınıf salise nakil ve badehu 1263 tarihinde iki yüz kuruş maaşla sınıf sanisinde bulunduğu sırada bila mahsusat yüzbaşı itibariyle ve yüz ellişer kuruş maaşla ikmal-i tahsil zımnında daru şuray-ı askeri kararıyla ba idare-i seniyye (Viyana) ya iğram buyurulan esna-ı tahsilde tarih-i Osmaniyeyi [...] lisanına tercüme ile imparator tarafından mazhar-ı takdir olarak şerefine bir ziyafet icra imparator keşide edilmiştir.
