Batum sancağına tabi Livane Kasabası'nın Urzume karyesi İmam Hatibi Osman Efendi merhûmun oğlu olup 1285 senesinde karye-i mezkûrede dünyaya gelmiştir. Maskat Re'sinde hıfz-ı Kur'an-ı Kerim ettikten sonra 1300 tarihinde Dersaadet'e gelmiş, Fatih de Otlukçu yokuşunda Daru'l-hars Hulusi Efendi medresesine kayd olmuş ve ahz-ı icazet almıştır. Belgede geçen ilk ve son tarihler: 1285- 1325 (Hicri takvime göre Miladi 1868/1869-1907/1908. Rumi takvime göre Miladi 1869/1870- 1909/1910). Hilmi Efendi (Hafız- Mehmed). Konya- Suderhi nahiyesinin Sulutas karyesi Camii Şerif İmam ve Mekteb-i Hocalığında bulunmuş olan Nuh Efendi'nin oğludur. 1297 tarihinde Konya'nın İstilo Mahallesi'nde dünyaya gelmiştir.
