Ve Van Kasabası'nda Hüsrev Paşa Medresesi'nde tasavvurata kadar ders gördükten sonra 1316 tarihinde Bitlis'e gelip Şarkiye Medresesi'ne kayd olunmuştur. Tüccardan Osman Hulusi Efendi'nin mahdûmudur. 1274 senesinde Tokat'a tabi Zile Kazası'nda tevellüd etmiştir. 1287 senesinde Zile Rüşdiyesi'ne devam edip 1291 senesinde bir kıta şehâdetnâme aldıktan sonra Dersaadet'e gelip Dârülmuallimîn Mekteb-i Rüşdiyesi'ne bi'l-kayd 1301'de şehâdetnâme istihsal eylemiş. Ve ulûm-i arabiyeden dahi tekmil-i nesih ile icâzetnâme almıştır. Belgede geçen ilk ve son tarihler: 1274-17 Temmuz 1325 (Hicri takvime göre Miladi 1857/1858.
