Description
Amasya dâhilinde Ladik Kazası tebabetinde iken Ramazan 1300'de vefât eden Yozgatlı Hüseyin Vasfi Efendi'nin mahdûmu olup 1282 senesinde Sinop'ta tevellüd etmiştir. Sinop Sıbyan Mektebi'nde tahsil-i İbtidâîyi gördükten Kur'an-ı Celilü'ş-Şan'ı hıfz ettikten sonra Rüşdiye Mektebi'ne kabul olunup mürettib dersleri ikmal ile 1297 senesinde şehâdetnâme almış. Ve arabi ve farsiyi pederinden tahsil etmiş. Ve Dersaadet'e gelerek Küçük Ayasofya'da Şehid Mehmed Paşa Medresesi'ne kabule Bayezit ders-i âmlarından Tokatlı Mehmed [Sagutu] Efendi'den tasavvurata kadar ders görmüş. 1303 senesinde Rodos Ceziresi'ne azimetle Medrese-i Süleymaniye'ye devam edip 1304 senesinde şehâdetnâme almıştır.
