Şemsü'l-Maârif ve Numune-i Terakki mekteblerinde biraz tahsilden sonra Mekteb-i Sultânî'ye duhul ile türkçede altıncı ve fransızcadan beşinci sınıfa kadar mürettib olan dersleri görerek bir kıta tasdiknâme ahz ile mektebi terke etmiştir.
