Description
Eyüp Sultanlı Bestekar Şehr-i Hafız Zekai Dede merhûmun oğludur. 1286 senesinde Dersaadet'te dünyaya gelmiş ve Eyüp Sultan'da La'lizâde Abdülbaki Efendi-Kalenderhane Mekteb-i İbtidâîyesi'nde tahsil ve Kur'ân-ı Kerîm'i hıfz ettikten sonra bi't-tahsil hoca telâmizinden Bâbıâli Kapı Kethüdâlarından Eyüp Sultânî Hoca Raif Efendi merhûmdan 1300 senesinde ulûm-i arabiyyeden 1301 senesinde Mesâhif-i Şerîfe azasından Şeyhü'l-Kurrâ ve Hasköy'de Sultan Mahmud Han Mektebi muallim-i evveli Hafız Süleyman Efendi merhûmdan [...] kıraatten ahz-ı icazete muvaffak olmuştur.
