Hâl-i sabâvetinde Sıbyan Mektebi'nde badehu Kalecik ve Çorum Kasabaları'nda Fenari'ye kadar 1275 senesi Rebiülevvelinde Dersaadet'te Nazır Hüseyin Ağa Medresesi'nde [c. nişin] olup Karadavud Abdülkerim Efendi'den Celal'e kadar ders görmüş 1283'te icâzetnâme ahzına muvaffak olmuş ve o sırada 1279 senesinde Darülmuallimîn'e duhûl ile ala'l-usül kat'ı merâtib etmiştir.
