Lütfullah Efendizâde Mehmed Efendi merhûmun oğlu olup 1256 tarihinde Dağıstan Eyaleti'nde Nefs-i Şeki Kasabası'nda tevellüd etmiş mezkûr kasaba Sıbyan Mektebi'nde mukaddemât-ı ulûmi ve Sadrettin Bey Medresesi'nde farsîyi ve arabiyeyi şerh-i akâidi ve ilm-u hat ve rik'ayı öğrenmiş 1278'de Dersaadet'e hicretle Mehmed Paşa Veli Medresesi'nde tekmil-i nesih ile icâzetnâme ahz etmiş.
