Description
İlmiyeden Hacı Gaffaroğlu Ebubekir Efendi'nin mahdûmudur. 1291 senesinde Nevşehir Kazası'nın Herikli Mahallesi'nde doğmuş ve memleketinde Kur'ân-ı Kerim'i hıfza muvaffak olduktan ve [K.] Medresesi'nde bir müddet Nahve kadar ders gördükten sonra Dersaadet'e gelerek Bayezid dersiâmlarından Gelibolî Hafız Murad Efendi'nin dersinde bulunarak akâide kadar ders görmüş ve bu esnada Dârülmuallimîn'e devam ile müretteb fünûnu öğrenerek 1324 senesinde bir kıta şehâdetnâme almıştır.
