dc.note | Carrie P. Fowle (Talas, 1910 Oct 31) writes William Peet that James L. Fowle would not be able to continue his missionary work due to malaria and that another will have to replace him. Women's Board of Missions of the Interior (Chicago, 1911 Feb 8) sends postcard to William Peet asking that he ensures a good time for Dr. H. H. Proctor - a black man from Yale. It includes a newspaper clipping "To Establish a New Hospital" about Dr. Dodd having established a hospital in Cesarea (Kayseri), searching for funds and planning to open another hospital in Kronia (Konya). The text also cites Dodd concerning the "domain of the Sultan [as] more stable and progressive than ever before." | - |
